GoPro has announced their new and improved HERO3+ action cameras, available for pre-order, in two models with several new accessories!
Both the HERO3+ Black Edition and HERO3+ Silver Edition cameras are 20% smaller then the original HERO3 and their batteries last 25% longer. They have improved wireless performance (faster WI-Fi) when sending footage to your mobile device, an ultra-wide-angle glass lens and they are both compatible with the new LCD Touch BacPac, the new Battery BacPac, and the Wi-Fi Remote (which is included standard with the Black model).
In addition, the high-end HERO3+ Black Edition camera supports up to 4Kp improved 15 fps resolution video. It can also capture 2.7Kp at 30 fps, 1440p at 48 fps, 1080p at 60 fps, 960p at 100 fps, and 720p at 120 fps for high-speed action and impressive, liquid-smooth, slow-motion playback. It also has the abbility to take 12-megapixel pictures at up to 30 fps. GoPro also introduced SuperView with the HERO3+ Black Edition: "A video mode that captures the world’s most immersive wide angle perspective. It allows you to capture more of yourself and your surroundings in the shot—resulting in captivating, ultra engaging footage."
The HERO3+ Silver Edition camera can capture Full HD 1080p video at an improved frame rate of 60 fps. It also supports several other recording resolutions and frame rates including 906p at 60 fps and 720p at 120 fps and is able to take 10MP at 10 fps burst rate. Further more it has enhanced overall image quality and low-light performance thanks to a vastly upgraded sensor.
GoPro also introduced a few new accessories along with the new cameras.
