Wireless HD Video From CMR

Radian Wireless HD Video From CMR
Camera Motion Research, the company from North Carolina that brought us the Blackbird stabiliser, has added a very interesting new product to their line up. The CMR Radian wireless HD video set. Manufactured with Amimon WHDI professional quality chip sets for best uncompressed resolutions and frame rates up to full 1080P(60), near zero latency, and line-of-sight range over 300 feet!

The CMR Radian Wireless HD Video set comes in two flavors. Radian Pro unicast (for connecting one transmitter to one receiver) and Radian MC multicast (for connecting one transmitter to up to 4 receivers simultaneously). This is definitely not a toy, but a professional wireless HD video set with some serious possibilities and specifications. I've had the opportunity to try out this set for a few days and I was very impressed with the usability and performance of this product.

Just like we've come to expect from CMR, everything is being taken care of. We don't have to think or worry about mounting or battery solutions anymore. The optional CMR Camlink TX backbone will give you an easy and compact solution for mounting the wireless HDMI transmitter with a lightweight USB battery (with more then 6 hours of operation!) to your camera. You can also choose to use your on-board camera battery by using the CamLink D-tap connector. The CamLink RX backbone will give you the same convenience as the CamLink TX, for attaching the receiver with power solution to your HDMI monitor by using the CMR director's monitor yoke. You can also get a nice custom Radian case which will help you to keep everything safely stored.

Here's a quick overview from Cheesycam.com showing the Radian Pro wireless HD video set and the Radian Pro in use on location:
